Classical Education.
At Home.

CRLA is launching a new and unique Classical Education Homeschool Program in the Fall 2026.

CRLA Classical Education Homeschool Program

A Classical Education. At Home. In Community.

The CRLA Classical Education Homeschool Program partners with families to deliver a rich, rigorous classical education rooted in truth, goodness, and beauty. Students receive instruction primarily at home using the same CRLA Classical Education curriculum and sequence of study as all other CRLA students—ensuring academic excellence, consistency, and integrity across learning environments.

Program Overview

Students in the Homeschool Program learn primarily at home under the guidance of their parents, who serve as the primary instructors. Families are fully supported by CRLA’s credentialed teachers and instructional systems. Each student is assigned a Lead Teacher who meets weekly with the student and parent on campus to review academic progress, provide instructional coaching and guidance, and ensure fidelity to CRLA’s classical curriculum and instructional expectations. This partnership creates a powerful learning model that blends expert teacher support with the daily presence, care, and attentiveness of parents.

Classical Curriculum & Instruction

The Homeschool Program follows the same CRLA Classical Education curriculum and instructional design used across all CRLA campuses. Families do not select alternative curricula. All instruction adheres to CRLA’s established classical framework, ensuring coherence, rigor, and academic excellence. Instruction emphasizes content-rich learning grounded in great books, history, science, mathematics, and the liberal arts; structured skill development in reading, writing, grammar, logic, and mathematics; and the formation of moral and intellectual virtue through habits, character education, and thoughtful engagement. Learning is delivered through a blend of direct parent instruction, structured home-based lessons, weekly teacher conferences, and active partnership between teachers and parents.

Weekly On-Campus Support

Each Homeschool student participates in a weekly on-campus meeting with their Lead Teacher. These sessions provide academic accountability, individualized instruction, personalized feedback, curriculum alignment, and ongoing parent coaching and support. This structure ensures that students remain fully aligned with CRLA’s academic expectations while benefiting from consistent mentorship and encouragement.

Optional Enrichment Day

Homeschool students are invited to attend an optional weekly enrichment day on campus for collaborative academic projects, cultural and artistic experiences, Socratic discussions, music, art, physical education, and community-building activities. When on campus, Homeschool students wear the CRLA uniform and fully participate in campus life, fostering a sense of unity, respect, and belonging.

Full Participation in the CRLA Community

Homeschool students are full members of the CRLA community and are encouraged to participate in the vibrant life of the school, including field trips and educational excursions, service projects and community outreach, school festivals and celebrations, campus fundraisers and assemblies, and special events such as Muffins with Moms and Donuts with Dads. CRLA’s culture emphasizes academic excellence, joyful learning, and the pursuit of virtue, forming students not only in intellect but also in character.

Parent Partnership & Support

CRLA is deeply committed to equipping parents for success. Families receive ongoing guidance and encouragement through regular parent education workshops and collaborative community engagement. Workshops provide practical training in classical teaching methods, effective home instruction strategies, curriculum implementation, and student motivation and formation.

Parents in the Homeschool Program will have access to participate in CRLA’s Classical Social Network, a collaborative online community where families can ask instructional questions, share teaching strategies, offer encouragement and support, and collaborate on lessons and assignments. This vibrant network strengthens community, builds confidence, and ensures families never feel alone in the journey.
